    • You'll learn the concept and definition of culture and you'll learn Gerard Hendrik Hofstede’s five dimensions of culture and link of each dimension to educational environment. 
    • You will analyze the factors that influences the culture, such as country education system, preschool or school education, also family beliefs and patterns and so on and evaluate their level of influence. 
    • You will know what is multicultural education and analyze the meaning of multicultural education to teachers. 
    • You will also know basic dimensions that influence the implementation of multicultural education and you'll know main cultural differences and similarities that affect education process and strategies how to transfer cultural differences or similarities into benefits.

  • Learning outcomes: you will familiarize with one of the most frequently used models that describes cultural dimensions and how these dimensions determine different views about education, perception of learning and teaching process and thus how they might reflect in your prospective multicultural classroom.

    • You will understand different types of classroom difficulties that arise in multicultural classroom including stereotypes; misunderstandings; conflicts; and written, verbal and nonverbal communication. 
    • You'll know strategies for avoiding stereotypes and decrease stereotype threats in the classroom and some tips to prevent cultural misunderstanding. 
    • You'll know the sources and types of cultural conflicts which can be defined as task conflict and relationship or emotional conflicts.
    • You'll be given some suggestions how to overcome conflicts. 
    • You will understand the ways in which verbal and nonverbal behaviors interact and may be useful during interaction into the classroom. 
    • You will be aware of the importance of nonverbal communication.

  • Learning outcomes: you will be able to plan, modify and/or enhance your teaching material, strategies and assessment criteria to better meet the cultural peculiarities of your classroom.

    • You will understand the differences between “high-context” and “low-context” cultures and examples of those cultures at country level. 
    • You will know what teachers should pay attention to for utilizing potential benefits from the cultural diversity for nonverbal communication (such as eye contact; touch; gesture; physical space; facial expressions; posture; Paralanguage). 
    • You'll know model of teaching approach in a multicultural setting and model of teaching in a diverse classroom and use them for managing multiculturalism into classroom.
    • You'll know strategies and learning experiences to improve multicultural teaching and utilize potential of the cultural diversity. 
    • You'll also know teaching and learning methods that can utilize potential of the cultural diversity and some rules for responding to ethnic, gender, and cultural diversity in the classroom.
